By now, you must be pretty confident you're the right fit for the Content Creator role at Morning Brew. Here's a real assignment from Morning Brew's team... they are excited to hear your feedback!
Please assume the role of Morning Brew’s Full-Time Content Creator. You've recently started the job and Alex is eager for you to get started right away. In your final deliverable, please be sure to include answers to the following questions...

PART ONE:
Your first task is to familiarize yourself with Morning Brew and its recently published content.  Read these three past issues (links below) and take note of the stories covered as well as the various sections of the newsletter.
PART TWO:
Next you are tasked with reviewing Morning Brew's newsletter structure and layout. Alex and Austin are considering changing a few things and they want your feedback.

  • What would you do differently about Morning Brew? What sections would you add or take out? How would the voice or tone be different from the current Brew?  (Be sure to explain your rationale for each question)

PART THREE:
Lastly, Alex and Austin also want your feedback on where the company should go next.  More specifically, they want to know how they can create and deliver more content to grow their reader base?

  • What would be the first area of content to pursue outside of the newsletter?  How would you see this new content strategy evolving over time?  Where do we start and how long would it take to implement? (Be sure to explain your rationale for each question)

DELIVERABLE GUIDELINES:
  • Must be less than three (3) typed pages (not including exhibits/figures)
  • Must be done exclusively by the applicant
  • Please be sure to cite all relevant sources/examples
  • File should be in PDF or Word Document format
